The SYO Music Scholarship Fund-Raising Events have been officially launched with the joint initiation of Senior Health Education Association and Stars Youth Orchestra(SYO). These events, headed by Lei Zhang, Music Director and Conductor, are intended to improve community music attainment through general music education, and to raise music scholarship for children of special talents and/or special families through routine assessments, performance, exchange activities and contests. All applicants for participation have the chances of winning various awards, and receive professional training from Stars Youth Orchestra. As we all know, children of music learning are less likely to behave badly. Children trained by SYO tend to excel in many other areas and get acclaimed by the public, along with the rapid improvement of their music capabilities.      The class enrollment has just started for the Fall semester,   September 7 through December 14, 2008. All students who can play orchestral instruments will get the well-arranged instructions from our experienced musicians and senior educators like Lei Zhang and others. Applicants who meet certain conditions and have special talents will benefit from our special discounts of the events and some of them may qualify for free enrollment. In addition, SYO is planning his 1st touring performances and music camp in Beijing/Taipei next Summer.    For the detailed program information, you can visit us on www.syo.worldbreak.com. The SYO String Quartet and Full Orchestra rehearsals are between 2pm and 5pm every Sunday. The address is Fremont Adult School’s Noll Center, 4700 Calaveras Ave, Fremont.

All children and parents holding dreams will walk towards the starship on the music boulevard we paved for you.  The Senior Health Education Association is a registered 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. Jointly with Lei Zhang Violin Academy and Star Youth Orchestra, we successfully held a concert for “Sichuan Disaster Donation” on June 15. All the fund-raised was counted immediately by three persons in charged, and delivered to Sichuan disaster area for orphans relief via China Consulate in San Francisco. The event showed support to us and concern about the over 2000 orphans in the earthquakes area from the general public. We, on behalf of the affected orphans, sincerely thank all for your kindly donations and helps.   Now we really appreciate the positive supports, generous contribution and enthusiastic participation for this Music Scholarship from businesses and individuals in the Bay Area. Donation checks should pay to the order of “SHEA”. We will send the 501(C)(3) receipts for your tax deduction. For more information and enrollment, please call:(510)687-9558 (Teacher Zhang),  or (510)687-1685 (Mrs. Luo).
